Extracorporeal Pulse Activiation Technology (EPAT)
Not Covered by Insurance
EPAT, aslo referred to as Shockwave Therapy, is administered by utilizing a handheld device to send rapid, high-intensity pressure waves into an injured area to increase and create new blood supply promoting healing, and in turn accelerates the healing process overall. Shockwave Therapy is especially useful on stubborn trigger points and for chronic injuries such as plantar fasciitis, achilles tendonitis and tennis elbow. This is a non-invasive, highly effective treatment that can dramatically reduce treatment times for injuries that in the past could take months to heal. In many cases EPAT is successful to the degree that it will eliminate the need for surgery.
What disorders can be treated?
1. Neck
2. Shoulder
3. Back
4. Upper Extremity and Lower Extremity
5. Foot and Ankle
6. Myofascial Trigger Points
What are the possible side effects?
EPAT® has almost no risk or side effects. A patient will feel pulsing when Shockwave is administered which can cause discomfort during treatment, and as a result, a patient may experience some soreness for a few days after.
Cold Laser
Not Covered by Insurance
Cold Laser (non-heat) is a low-level "cold" laser that uses light energy to stimulate tissue, increase circulation, reduce inflammation, decrease pain and promote healing in chronic injuries such as tendonitis. We use it either alone or in combination with ART.
Traditional Physical Therapy
Traditional physical therapy combined with chiropractic treatment is often necessary for re-training and re-educating the body to address chronic conditions. Issues directly related to instability and weakness are easily corrected using physical therapy, and therefore reduces limiations and chronic discomfort a patient may experience over time. As a result, a pateint is able to return to an active life style stronger and more stable.
